I am a fussy fanatic for comfort and durability. I bought two pair of these on Amazon. They are not on the ECCO site. I am a 9 1/2 - 10 Narrow, very narrow, and these I wear now for everyday. I thought the style would be too much like a Michelin -man coat, it is NOT! It's sleek in reality, the photo does not do it justice. THEY ARE GORE-TEX! They are comfortable with a fairly soft but supportive sole and a super soft fabric interior. The bottom of the sole is well designed to grip ice. I walk up and down steep hills with my dog, on unpaved icy roads in CO. I love this boot! I did get a second pair, the fit is amazing and really comfortable for walking. When ECCO gets it right, they rule the industry. Please don't change the last, or if you do, adjust the size for the customer.The other shoe I bought and love this season is the Goretex Solomon SpeedCross 5 because I loved the SpeedCross 4. The SpeedCross 5 is much stiffer and excellent support for walking. I have lost interest in all other hikers. Either the 4 or the 5 works for me and the fit is excellent for my narrow foot.
