GET ONE A LITTLE BIGGER FOR THICK SOCKS!Perfect fit and a great looking booti was originally looking for a new pair of work boots. the classic style and unique color of these grabbed my attention. i decided to try them out for hiking boots since they look too good to get covered in paint, grease, and adhesives. i figured if they didn't feel good right away Amazon would take care of me like they always have. i've always worked the kinds of jobs where boots are mandatory and enjoyed a variety outdoor activites in my off-time. i've done my research and owned all types of boots over the years.i didn't expect much from a brand sold in walmart and meijer, but my first impression is great. fit as expected, lighter than expected. not overly stiff so the break-in will be comfortable. the ICS disk in the heel (for adjusting firmness, cushioning, and arch shape) is quite interesting... it can potentionally be tuned for load and/or terrain, if not just for personal preference.i'd say perfect for hiking and backpacking with a good load, but not up for serious mountaineering. time will tell durability and longevity.i'll update my review if they provoke a seriously positive or negative response, but if they do their job i probably can't be bothered.I am very pleased with these boots. I wear them for everyday winter walking around and hiking. They are are a bit heavy for this but I've just gotten used to them. A great boot is one that fits you well. I have no arch, so the adjustable heel drew me as did a boot made from one piece of leather, which this was the cheapest one I found that looked good and solid. I was also looking for a red pair of boots. So these had it all. The construction and materials is very good to excellent. I expect to have these boots for years. The break in time wasn't long for me, a week or so. These are my first Wolverines, likely not my last.One thing that the picture for these boots does not depict is just how red they are! With that said, it is really my only complaint. So far I am impressed with the quality of the build and the comfort. As someone who has owned multiple pairs of Wolverines I would expect nothing less.Now that I have had this boot for a while I can give a great review. Fit was a little snug but did stretch to my feet, takes a little time but they are my go to pair. Very comfortable. I have already told my friends where I got them so hopefully you got some business out of it. Thanks for the honesty in advertising. :)I've had these for a few weeks now and they seem to be holding up well so far. They're comfortable enough for all day wear in the Arizona summer heat. I would expect to get a year or two of use out of them. They're not top quality boots, but they're a decent pair of boots for the money.This was one of the best boots ever put on the market and now discontinued... why?!?!?!?A good boot.
