they do run at least a size large, so order down. They much more comfortable than another pair of "cheap boots" which were like wearing inner tubes. I walk my dog every day pretty much rain, shine, snow.. I purchased these to save wear on my "good" hiking boots. They serve that purpose, and they are pretty water proof. No, they do not feel as good as Keens or Salomons BUT, I don't worry about what I walk through... for the money.... they are not bad, truly not bad at all..The only complaint I have is that the eyelets for the laces are a tad too cheap.. I had to bend them in with pliers to make them hold the laces and the metal is not good stuff so I anticipate doing that often... HOWEVER, my beloved Keens are not paying the price....I had a pair for 6 years and they finally wore out so I purchased another pair. Got them two days ago put them on yesterday to go out and as I was lacing them up the eyelet pulled out. The eyelets are way to small so now I am returning them and not sure if I wanna get another pair.I wear 11, ordered a 10; still room for multiple pairs of thick socks. Bought these boots almost 3 years ago for a weekend trip to Tahoe in the snow. They were great for the two days worn while there. Saving them for cold/snow/wet weather, after that trip they went into the closet. Decided to break them out to wear around camp for a recent moto ride/camp where the overnights were in the teens. Again, comfy and warm for what little time they were worn (2 nights, in camp). Since they were no longer hidden deep within the closet, I figured I would wear them to work this week since it was raining - should be more convenient than having to switch out of and then back into my motorcycle rain boots when I get to and leave work. Today is my 3rd day wearing them this week; 7th time since getting the boots. Noticed the left one was a little loose. Guessing that the lace slipped out of one of the top hooks, I sat down to re-tie them. Nope, the lace was still in all 4 hooks - the topmost eyelet had pulled out of the leather. That comes out roughly to about $8 out of pocket for each time I've worn the boots. Not exactly the best value.Read reviews indicating boots are a size large. In my case and I'm older and my feet have spread a bit, a size 11 was a size 11. Boots seem to be well built but downgraded my rating because the upper "brown" portion of the boot is made of a synthetic leatherette material. But again, they are descent-ly built and will serve my purpose well since I don't need them to work in, just go out in the snow. I was looking for an inexpensive pair of snow boots to replace a really nice pair I had lost or were stolen and this is pretty much what I got.Bought these for my man who works outside all year washing cars. He has worn these for a week already and is most impressed that they are indeed waterproof. He is also impressed with the slip resistance. He works on oil-slicked concrete, a challenging surface for anyone. So far, so good. His feet are warm and dry and that makes him a happy guy. The price deserves 5 stars. If they hold up well for the entire season with daily use, I'll be happy to come back and add a 5th star.I really liked these boots, but they are men's boots and I didn't do a size adjustment. They were swimmingly big on me and I wish I had got two sizes smaller than what I did. I did not like that they didn't have an exchange policy and would have to send the boots back at my own expense by either USP or Fed Ex. It seemed like too much of a hassle so I gave them away to someone who could really use them. I would, however, order them again, in the right size for myself.Having read previous reviews, I knew to order a size smaller than for shoes I wear. I wear 9-1/2, so I ordered size 9. After receiving these boots, I tried thick socks and doubling them, but what worked best was to buy insoles to insert onto the provided insoles. I bought some rather thick rubber insoles form the shoe accessory rack at Wal-Mart, cut them to size and inserted them for a perfect fit to my feet.I'm an RCA with the Post office and this boot has saved my feet this Winter!! Tremendous grip in the snow and ice and very comfortable to drive the LLV with. VERY LARGE size! I typically wear a 9 in any shoe / boot and think the 8 may have been the way to go even with a heavy winter sock. 1/2 size would be a nice size option...These boots weren't as long lasting as we had hoped for, the out side was fine but the inside ripped and became mis shapen fairly quickly, causing blisters from it rubbing. If you're getting them for occasional wear you'll be fine. However if you live in the country side in the north and will wear these for a few months at a time then I would suggest investing in a better pair. I suppose they were worth it as they didn't cost too much and almost did two winters.
