Pricey but this brand is always worth the money. My son loves them and is very happy.I have worn Merrells for years. I ordered these to replace my old ones. These shoes are great. They fit well, wear well and are made well.This is definitely a subpar Merrell product compared to the Moab line. Pros: light, comfortable with no break-in time, decent tread. Cons: shoes get sloppy quickly with no ankle support, the tread is not Vibram so wears much more quickly, the laces are very elastic which makes it hard to keep it tied tightly, shoe does not breathe well so gets hot quickly. I would only use this shoe on park trails and not for any real hiking. Buy with deep discount only.I’ve been wearing Merrell for more than 20 years. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of product until now. Of course I was attracted by the price.I don’t expect the issues to last more than a few monthsBeen buying Merrell for years. Never had a problem. The shoes got a hole within a week of purchase! Quality is clearly lower than what Merrell got me used to.
